Why Safety 3rd?
Way back in the 1980s and 1990s, Bob was busy making drag racing videos and doing some pretty crazy stuff without really thinking about safety.
The motto in those early days: get the shot, tell a great story, don't die if possible. Hence Safety 3rd Films.
2016: learning to explain
In 2016, Bob decided to really learn the art of making effective videos, especially really good explainer videos. That decision started the K6UDA Radio Show: humorous, and seriously informative about the ham radio world.
If I could make ham radio entertaining to the masses, I could build anything.
Bob believes it worked. The channel has about 50,000 subscribers and 5M views.
Back to where it started
Since he was 13 or 14 years old, the Second Amendment and guns have been near and dear to Bob and a very important part of his life. Now he is putting his passion for filmmaking and video storytelling, and everything he learned producing K6UDA, to work preserving the Second Amendment through effective news and storytelling. That is Idaho 2A News.
