Second Amendment accountability journalism
The good, the bad, and the ugly on your gun rights. Court rulings, Idaho law, and the people who vote on both, explained plainly and backed by the record.
Idaho voters and the politicians who represent them are not always on the same side of the Second Amendment.
Idaho 2A News was founded in 2026 by Bob Brodovsky after he saw a wide disconnect between how Idahoans feel about their gun rights and how many of the people they elect talk, vote, and legislate on them. Campaign promises and voting records do not always match, and most voters never see the comparison.
The channel exists to close that gap: to warn and educate Idahoans, and gun owners elsewhere, about what is happening to their rights, who is behind it, and what the record shows. The facts are legally precise and cited to the statute, opinion, or filing, so you can check them yourself. The commentary is openly advocacy: Idaho 2A News stands for the Second Amendment, and says so.
The rest of the country should be paying attention to Idaho. Idaho is arguably the most Second Amendment-friendly state in the nation, and probably the most Second Amendment-aware. It has the chance to become the juggernaut of state politics: the state that protects the Second Amendment and promotes guns, hunting, self-defense, and the defense of the common good.
Editors, producers, and prospective sponsors are welcome to get in touch about interviews, expert commentary, and partnerships.
These numbers belong to a channel that is only months old.
Idaho 2A News launched in the spring of 2026, after about 10 years of building my K6UDA channel. K6UDA is about ham radio, an extremely small niche, and I became a leader and an innovator in that space. The channel now has about 50,000 subscribers and 5 million views, which is a big audience for a ham radio hobby channel. Everything below was built from zero in a matter of months, in a market where established gun-rights channels count their followers in the tens or hundreds of thousands. Judge these numbers by their age, not just their size.
In a market that is demonetizing gun-related channels, Idaho 2A News has been able to monetize on both YouTube and Facebook. The big platforms have not shut the channel out, and that says something about how the work is being done.
Growth is still an uphill climb. Second Amendment content runs into real headwinds on the major platforms, and this channel has run into them. It will take time. The plan is steady: get the right message to the right people, keep warning and educating the gun-owning public, and build an audience we own on Substack. Sponsors who come in now are getting in at the beginning.

Substack is where Idaho 2A News is building its core audience: an email list, with the contact information, that belongs to the channel and does not depend on any one platform's algorithm, policies, or access to a YouTube or Facebook account. Subscribers get the work delivered straight to their inbox.

This is a mission, not a business.
Idaho 2A News is not built to become a business or to make money. It exists to get the message out. But producing a show like this carries real costs, and sponsors and advertisers are how those costs get covered so the work can keep going.
It also works the other way. Getting the word out means showing viewers what the people in this industry are building and doing. Manufacturers, retailers, and others in the business are part of the Second Amendment movement, and this channel wants to showcase them. Every product on screen helps normalize the Second Amendment and the gun space.
Manufacturers are especially welcome, across everything in the Second Amendment space:
You can sponsor a full show or a portion of one. Advertising is open across any or all of the platforms listed above (Facebook, Rumble, YouTube, Substack, Instagram, TikTok, and X), and on whatever new media comes along that can carry the message further.
Idaho 2A News is built first for Idaho gun owners and Idaho citizens: the Legislature, the courts, the sheriffs, and the ballot. We also cover the national stories, and stories from other states, that matter to any gun owner who wants to understand the law and the trends in legislation. If it shapes what you can own, carry, or defend yourself with, it belongs here.

I carried a 1911 for most of a 28-year career, and I spent a lot of it teaching people what the law actually says about self-defense.
Idaho 2A News is the channel I wished existed: the facts and citations are straight, and my commentary is openly on the side of the Second Amendment. If a politician, a prosecutor, or a federal agency does something to your rights, you will hear about it here with the paperwork to back it up.
I also run the K6UDA ham radio channel and host the weekly Southern Idaho Preparedness Net. Those are separate shows with their own pages.
